ever since i started using birth control pills. the color of my stool changed to shamrock green. could the pills be the cause of this?

Green pills? : If your pills are green then possibly the green dye is contributing to the stool color.

Yes. : Yes. You need to be evaluated. Blood in the stool is abnormal. White stool means a lack of bile salt. You could have problems with liver, gallbladder, common bile duct, pancrease (pancrelipase). I would call your doctors office in the am and explain your symptoms.  This is a significant change in bowel habitus.

No: Unless you have loose stool because of a new medication that effects how the bcp is absorbed, i wouldn't worry. I can't see how the two are related.

Sounds ok: The pill will have been digested and absorbed by then, meaning one loose stool more than a couple of hours after taking a hormonal birth control pill should not change the effectiveness of that pill.

Highly unlikely: ...that the birth control pill was evacuated with diarrhea that occurred immediately upon its ingestion.

: What you described would not alter the effectiveness of your birth control pills.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

No  : Diarrhea will not affect your birth control but you may want to consider seeing a gastroenterologist to address this digestive issue.

i am on junel fe birth control. i take my pill at 10am. yesterday, i took my pill and then around 10-20mins later had a small bout of watery stool. i had another, a larger, bout of mushy stool (not as watery) around 5pm. should i double up on pill?

I wouldn't: It takes an average of 2-3 days for what you put in your mouth to travel the ~30 feet of your digestive system to be pooped out. If you have continuous diarrhea it takes a day. The pill dissolves &amp; is absorbed just beyond the stomach a few hours after taking it. In the situation you describe the pill had time to be absorbed &amp; work.

Try another pills: You probably not responding well to hormones combination.  Pills probably working anyways. It's still in your stomach if you have bm immediately after taking it.
