Yes: This is normal. You will have some thinning of the cervix as you get closer to the time of delivery. It is supposed to be closed and firm at 30 weeks, but it is normal if it gets somewhat shorter.

30 weeks pregnant and, up until monday night baby would kick high but now everything i feel is extremely low around my cervix. is that bad ?

No: Where you feel your baby kick depends on the position the baby is in, and where your placenta is.  It sounds like your maybe may have changed positions.  That is pretty normal at 30 weeks.

Depends- what did : your doctor say? In some cases, 'going on all fours' meaning a position that looks similar to doing the cat/or dog yoga position (without arching your back) on hands and knees will belly hanging down, can allow the fetus to have enough potential space to rearrange itself, its own positioning in the womb to not be breech, not necessarily an old wive's tale. Other times, u need the doctor to assist.

OB, ASAP: I suggest you go to the labor and delivery of your ob/gyn asap for evaluation, monitoring and an ultrasound to make sure you're not going into pre-term labor.

Preterm : Call your obgyn on call.  Keep hydrated. With the contractions like you are describing, they will probably want you to come into l&d.

See OB/GYN: Pain is not normal. There are many various gynecological disorders which could cause pain and pressure in your vagina. I can appreciate your concerned about your health, but finding a proper diagnosis and treatment may be the answer to your worries. Rec.: see OB/GYN  for a specialist examination, tests and treatment.

Low risk: At 37 weeks you are full term and you may go into labor at any time.  A soft cervix is common at this stage and really does not present any additional risk.

Preparing for labor: Softens prior to labor starting,  may still be days or weeks to go yet.

Pregnancy hormones: Progesterone softens the cervix in preparation during pregnancy for its' later ability to "stretch". Prostaglandin is often used late in pregnancy to soften the cervix for elective labor.Induction.

how long can a soft cervix last at31 weeks? lots of ewcm. last baby born early 37w. have polyhdramnios too. i know weeks but what about a month still?

YOU SHOULD BE: Discussing this at length with your OB who is taking care of you or the perinatologist who should be consulting on the case as they know your specifics and obviously should be monitoring you closely, with meds if necessary depending on your situation you could get to 37 weeks again they would know m=much better than me and it depends if your poly gets worse or not, call your OB this weekend.
