other than medical conditions & lotta meds. i have low sodium. i only drink diet soda (which has sodium) 12-14 cans daily! why would sodium b low??

Too much soda: That is far too much soda. It's making your sodium low based on how your kidneys will handle the soda you are drinking. Your body very tightly regulates your sodium, so you will mostly just pee out the sodium. However, if you drink more volume of liquid than your kidneys can get rid of, then you end up holding on to the fluid and this dilutes the sodium you have in your body.

sucralose..trying to reduce sugar intake. alternative to diet soda. found sparkling water that has sucralose in ingredients but doesn't say amount. it says 0g for carb,sugars, sodium, calories & caffeine. is this ok to drink and not raise glucose?

Good question. : There are some doctors that are concerned that aspartame (the sweetener in diet coke) could be toxic in certain situations. Aspartame breaks down into formaldehyde at temperatures above 87° & the toxic effects of formaldehyde could lead to neurologic disorders. However, there are no rigorous studies to support this thesis.  Aspartame may precipitate seizures in little children, so they should not.

Define bad: Diet coke has no nutritional value. It is sweetened with an artificial sweetener and uses artificial coloring. It makes you think that you can eat something fattening to balance out your "diet" choice. It contains caffeine which can be a problem for some people with atrial fibrillation.  It is not a healthy drink, and only slightly better than regular coke.
