i'm a teen boy with dry patches appearing around my body their not usaually itchy but on my arm two of the patches are flaking off while another is more circular and dry you can usaually really notice them when i use soap. their not painful at all.

my skin is unusually dry, its cracking. my heels are very bad, dry skin are peeling off in big flakes . i changed to goat milk soap, using cerave and cetaphil for my face wash. add humidifier at nite. pls advise what else do i need to do? thanks

Dry skin: Creams work better than lotions for moisturizing such dry skin. The way you described the extent of dryness, it is important to have a physician take a look at the skin to determine if it is some skin condition other than dryness.

See a dermatologist: You have not named your soap or lotion.  Use a skin cleanser with a ph of 7 or less: dove is easy to find. Use a cream with ceramides such as eucerin, cerave, cetaphil.

Dry skin?: Dry skin is the likely cause.  Avoid scented or anti-bacterial soap or gel, apply a good moisturizer.

i wash my uncircumcised penis everyday with soap & water, & pat dry after. i dont see any smegma, but when i wash it in the shower i notice some small white skin flakes peeling off. my penis looks normal otherwise so im confuse. washing too hard?

Could be: Skin peeling because of traumatic manipulation is one possibility. Also fungal infection or some other dermatological problem. Have your doctor confirm this please

Rosacea: You know what triggers to avoid. For this flare up you could go to a walk in clinic as oral antibiotics and prescription topical gels are usually needed. Otherwise ask your pharmacist to recommend a nonprescription cream or ointment until you can see a dermatologist or GP.

Soap not the answer: Acne is a major chronic disease that in spite of what anybody may have told you is not the result of your diet or your poor hygiene. Topical benzoyl peroxide is the only thing you can buy yourself that can do much. Failing this, get with your physician. The oral contraceptive pill, a topical agent like clindamycin, or something stronger will be able to clear you -- depends on what's right for you.
