Probably not: Fainting is an important symptom. To be head related, it would have to be a seizure, and this is very unlikely based on what u describe. Because u had a fluttering sensation first, it implies that u fainted due to a heart issue. Most common problem would be brief atrial fibrillation, but u r quite young for that. I would do a holter monitor on you to track your heart rate through the day.

Yes, Definitely: Even stopping a few days prior is helpful because the blood is better at carrying oxygen even shortly after exposure is removed.  Cigarette smoking is known to cause arterial disease especially in small arteries.  Numerous, well devised studies strongly indicate that wound healing is delayed due to smoking.  Not to mention that lung function is disrupted in the immediate post op period anyway.

MJ speeds heart rate: We don't know much about effects of mj on the heart except it increases heart rate & might slightly increase blood pressure. According to this review"a large cohort study showed no association of marijuana use with cardiovascular disease hospitalization or mortality." but it should nonetheless be used with caution in those with coronary artery disease: http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pubmed/12412838.

Smoking: One time inhalation of cigarette smoke is unlikely to cause a problem. Chronic bystander smoke exposure is a different matter. With respect to svt there is a small possibility of a problem with a one time inhalation. It is always good to avoid smoke, first or second hand.

It's a poison: Even though you may not have lit the cigarette, you're getting a percentage of the many side-effects tobacco smoke causes. If there were an fda-like package insert, it would probably several feet long.

The true statement: of greatest concern is "Hate my life!" You are at relatively low risk without significant risks other than being male. Symptoms are unlikely to be cardiac and it sounds like you have been evaluated. Find a counselor to deal with the real problem not the somatized cardiac symptoms. Your heart is broken but it is not diseased. Get help. Counseling does not mean you are crazy. Love your life again.

Yes, they could: but would be better off not smoking, but getting an inhaler. They make the equivalent of electronic cigarettes for use with marijuana, where there is a heating element that volatilizes the THC from the plant, without producing smoke, carbon monoxide and other harmful elements. However, marijuana increases heart rate, which is often not good for people with underlying heart disease. Talk to your MD

Timing: It isn't safe to smoke anything during the healing phase (1st 3 months) of a heart attack since it raises carbon monoxide levels. In the long run, the risk is probably low, but frankly, i've never seen a scientific paper and doubt that it's ever been studied.

Depends: No one disagrees about the problems with smoking, but the evidence of second hand smoking causing problems is really weak, but you  should probably try to avoid it if at all possible. No reason to chance it if you don't have to.
