17% salicylic acid: apply once a day till they disappear.  If too deep you will need liquid nitrogen

i have small warts on my hands and they seem to be spreading. they occasionally go red and are raised and itch. is this a cause for concern and should i have them frozen off like the larger warts i've had removed?

Probably not warts: Multiple warts on the hands are rare, and warts do not become red or inflamed and not likely to itch. This probably is something else. See a doctor; if your PCP isn't certain, see a dermatologist.

Liquid nitrogen: Application by physician or excision (usually not required) should do the trick.  May need a few applications.

i believe i may have hpv virus for a long while. what lead me to the research was small warts on my hand and white spots appearing on my body(back/chest/arms). can i get gardasil vaccine  that will help take this away?

Accepted Answer

No: The current Gardisil can help anyone develop antibodies to the genital HPV strains. These can prevent new HPV  infections from future exposures. It does not treat any form of HPV. The common skin wart is not from the genital strains. You may have genital HPV as many do by your age, but unless you have/had warts on your genitals you don't have those strains.

a dermatologist froze off 3 warts on my left hand, and now i have 25+ smaller warts on my left hand. tried burning, and got more warts then too. why?

Viral: Warts are caused by a virus, and occassionally this "rebound" activity will occur. See you doctor again and get a cream to use that will increase your own bodies immune response to fight the wart virus, called aldara (imiquimod). It might work to help your body clear the virus. Don't give up!

We don't cure warts: They are viruses, but there are many treatments available to clear the clinical lesions. From topicals like salacid plaster, to liquid nitrogen, cautery, lasers , candidal antigen, bleomycin injections. We never know what each wart responds best to. See a derm for treatment especially if they are spreading

Hand bumps: This could be one of several things, but without being able to see them it is impossible to diagnose over the internet. See a dermatologist. Good luck.

1 st must make sure: Make sure they are warts which when top layer of skin is off there are usually little dark spots in them. Warts are a virus so can be difficult to get rid of. Podiatrist is best and treatment is from otc to acid to excision. I have great success with laser removal.

Wart?:  Warts are a viral condition which can grow and large small “baby warts“ adjacent to them you really need to run by the dermatologist office and have them take a look at this.

my son has a small bump on the bottom of his lip.  i think he  transferred a form of his planters wart from his hand. how can this be treated in this sensitive area?

See a dermatologist: Without seeing this "bump" it is impossible to diagnose, and to suggest treatment without a clear diagnosis would be very bad practice.  Have your son seen by a professional and let them make suggestions for treatment.  Hope this clears up soon.
