Irregular cycles: Having irregular periods can mean intermittent spotting, which can be light in color (small amount of blood along with a discharge). If there is pain or itching, or if this persists, be sure to get checked out to make sure it is not a vaginal or other infection.

Mammograms: All new breast masses need evaluation. Usually a physical exam is done followed by a mammogram. In young patients a breast sonogram may provide better imaging. Most breast masses are benign but all need evaluation

Probably not.: If it goes away in a week or two and does not return, it is likely nothing.  Any sore that does not heal or keeps coming back, though, needs to be checked out.  Avoid fragrances and harsh soaps and detergents and all fabric softeners, which are hard on the skin, especially where clothing fits snugly.  If you have signs of infection (redness, pus, pain,warmth or fever), get checked ASAP.

May be: The bloating, moodiness, breast tenderness,cramping, and backache may all be because your period is about to start but it is also possible that you are pregnant and just did the test too soon. Needs attention: this is probably benign, and could be due to a number of things. it is most important to make sure there is no infection, or malignancy. go to a doctor as soon as possible to have this evaluated

Do pregnancy test: Your period is a week late.  Please do a home pregnancy test.  Make sure you follow the directions exactly.  Also be sure the kit is not expired.  If it is negative and your period still has not come, repeat the test in a week.  if you feel worse, or have abdominal pain or cramping (worse than a normal period), pregnant or not, go to the ER or see your doc right away
