hi there,
there is light spotted bruising that has developed into indentations on the back of my thighs under my bum on both legs. 
they developed 2 days ago and im unsure what could have caused this?

Bruises: These spots may have been due to a combination of pressure from sitting and easy bruiseability from taking anti-inflammatory.medications like aspirin,ibuprofen or naproxen, or be due to platelet or vitamin K or C deficiency especially if you note bleeding from gums or nose. If these bruises continue to occur, consult a hematologist.

found out a 1 cm diameter bruise on my leg, blue in color. is it serious ? or its too small to be cautious?(have not got any physical injury)

Single episode...: Can be normal. You should have this problem evaluated by your doctor, especially if the bruising has become more frequent or more severe.

i have a bunch of but bits on my one leg and they now look like small bruises but don't itch. should i be concerned?

Insect bites: These insect bites do not appear to be infected and should slowly clear in a week. Consult your physician if spreading redness,swelling,fever or chills develop or if new lesions appear.

small random bruise on my leg.also get random twinges of pain by the bruise.didn't do anything to cause it. can it be sciatica related?

Probably not: Sciatica does not cause any locally visible changes since the actual source of the leg pain is from a pinching of the nerve at the level of the back or when it passes through the pelvis.

i had a small itchy bug bite on my leg that turned into a half dollar sized bruise. the bruise is still visible over 4 weeks later should i be concern?

Accepted Answer

Possibly but: The bruise will likely go away in a couple of weeks.  However if you live in areas where Lyme disease (carried by a deer tick) is endemic, see your doctor.

should i be concerned about lots of small random bruises on my legs?

Possibly: If you haven't had any trauma to your legs, or don't take any medications that could lead to abnormal blood clotting like aspirin, Aleve, (naproxen) ibuprofen, Excedrin, etc then you may want to see you doctor to make sure there isn't something more concerning like an abnormality with your platelets or coagulation studies.

Petechiae: Thrombocytopenia likely can be induced by viral infection. Also potential for significantly deranged clotting. See your physician soon some relatively simple blood tests can seperate benign from serious.

i have bruises on my legs some huge and some small but no pain is it serious.?

It depends on cause: It depends on the cause. There are different things that can give your easy bruising including low platelet level, problem with platelet function, poblem with nutrition, abnormality on the collagen of the skin etc.  Go to see your doctor and have yourself checked. Good luck.

: About 3-4 weeks. use local heat several  times a day

have had lots of small bruises past couple of months on legs- all blood counts came back normal range. what else could be the cause?

Accepted Answer

See below: The most obvious answer without seeing yo is minor trauma  legs are frequently in the eay of objects and are the site of trauma.  However dilated blood vessels especially in an overweight person can also cause this.  With all blood counts normal there is relaly nothing to worry about.
