i've had some doctors on healthtap say that small drops of mucus like fluid coming from the urethra after bowel movement are just prostatic fluid. can it also be discharged before a bowel movement, such as holding stool in because of no nearby toilet?

: Yes. When you 'hold in' a BM you squeeze the muscles around the anus/rectum and the prostate area.

i feel a lot of pressure on my bottom! aneed to habe a bowel movement, but i go and only a small amount comes out. and the urge and pressure is still there!?

Sounds like: You have an impaction. Use glycerine suppositories every 6 hours or alternate suppositories with a fleet enema (sodium bisphosphate) until completely emptied. I would stay on a liquid diet til things are passing again on a regular basis.

sharp pain during bowel movement on 1st 2 days of menses. mri shows some small volume fluid in pouch of douglas. ultrasound found no abnormalities.

You need to continue: following your GYN doctor to figure out if indeed the pain you feel during bowel movement is attributable to the MRI results - especially since the ultrasound did not find anything to cause the pains.  I hope you got a transvaginal ultrasound instead of abdominal ultrasound since the former is much more sensitive to pelvic findings.

have constipation i think its due to my low fiber/fluid intake and its always very dry and hard feeling when i'm having a bowel movement + sometimes when i have to strain and it really hurts there is bright red blood on tissue and bottom of bowl?

: Bright red blood noted after a hard bowel movement may signal hemorrhoids. Starting an OTC stool softener (I.e. Miralax) and seeing your PCP in person for confirmation of the diagnosis is recommended.

had a constipated bowel movement this morning and noticed a yellow colored liquid settled at the bottom of the toilet surround the stool. what could cause this?

It may just be: A mucous plug or lubricant. Your rectal surface is a mucosal surface that secretes or absorbs and it is a very dynamic environment. Therefore there will be things that accumulate and get secreted depending on the foreign substance that passes through such as your stool. I would not be too worried and monitor to see this happen again

have had small amounts of blood on tp after a bm for 6 months. i've tried creams and wipes, but still have problems. does this sound like cancer?

Unlikely at your age: It could be hemorrhoids or an anal fissure or multiple other issues.  If it persists you should see a GI doctor.  Also, find out if anyone in your family has a history of colon cancer.

is type 2 poop consider fecal impact? cause i was straining. do i still have more poop in the rectum after a bm? type 2 poop. it was a small size log?

: Firm or hard poop which causes straining is considered constipation. Fecal Impaction occurs when constipation is taken to an extreme and hard poop fills the lower intestinal tract, colon and rectum with no movement. There is always poop traveling through normally active intestines. When it gets to the rectum, at a certain mass, wall motility typically causes it to be pushed out.

embarassing question, but i may have mild fecal incontinence, possibly due to internal hemorrhoid. today, i wiped (not after a bm) to check for leakage, and saw a dark flake on the wipe. brown i think. could it have been solid fecal matter coming out?

: Possibly. hemorrhoids seldom cause fecal incontinence. Usually a sniff of the material can decide if it is fecal material. If it pwersists you will dneed to be seen by your doc

: prob normal. Stay hydrated and in the shade.
