Various causes: There are many skin lesions that can present like this including a fungal infection, drug reaction, psoriasis, lichenoid dermatitis, granuloma annulare, dermatofibroma/scar, sarcoidosis or other granulomatous dermatitis, autoimmune disease,  vascular lesions, various tumors (benign or malignant), among others.  I would recommend having it evaluated by a dermatologist.

i have a small (0.5 cm in length) oval like skin lesion that i am worried about on my forearm. it is slightly raised than the rest of the skin and is a little darker with a textured feel. i have had it for maybe a year or more with no change?

: Probably seborrhoec keratosis and of no consequence.  If your still worried a removal under local a aesthetic and diagnosis can be done. Good Luck

i have a round skin lesion on my wrist. it's uniform in shape but is raised and if i don't put tea tree oil in it it gets angry and itchy. is this something to be concerned about?

Exam!: In order to properly diagnose &amp; treat your condition you should be examined at a medical clinic. A biopsy of the lesion may be ordered by the examining physician. Although the lesion could be benign, skin cancer or an infectious process should be checked for. The sooner you are properly examined and treated the better. I wish you well with your health!

Umm, hard to say.: Skin rashes/lesions are most difficult to diagnose without actually examining them. How long has she had the lesion? Since the area is itching & now raising concern, perhaps it would be wise to have your pediatrician or dermatologist examine this in person. Then specific treatment and preventive measures could be discussed with more accuracy. Itch relief itself can be a blessing & worth the visit!

Mgt: It may be a contact dermatitis, if it spreads or is associated with other symptoms, medication may be needed.  In the meantime, wash the area with a hypoallergenic soap such as Dove.

Have him seen: A red lesion could be a bug bite, eczema, an infection, a viral rash, a broken capillary, a contact dermatitis...So best to have him/her seen.

Need more informatio: May be related to the fact you're standing in the blood is pooling, but with the presence of patches of red and raised there are other things we think of. We see this sometimes and people who have elevated immuno globulins call hyperglobulinemia Purpura. You need to discuss with your physician  whether it's something as simple as blood pooling or the elevated globulins or something else
