i had the following test done my c reactive protein was elevated 6.0 8 was cutoff and my esr was 6 which is normal 20 my last crp was 2.5 back in november all cbc labs normal what caused the slight crp elevation?

Normal results: Both your CRP results were normal &amp; slight change within normal limits is also normal as is your ESR. There does not need to be cause because both test are normal. Nowadays, we tend to orer just CRP without ESR as it is probably more accurate measure of inflammation, easier to perform &amp; both usually move in tandem.

hi i recently had testing do to a miscarriage. my protein c level was elevated at a value of 202. also my anti thrombin 3 was elevated value 126. what if any underlying conditions will cause elevation. i have been told to follow up with a rheumatologist.

Autoimmune disorders: There are numerous autoimmune disorders that can contribute to increased risk of miscarriage. Can't answer: Nobody here can answer without your clinical history, though i wouldn't be surprised if you have hemochromatosis -- truth is, i hope you do, because it's the easiest of all the deadly diseases to manage. It's also worth remembering that serum ferritin is an acute phase reactant and likely to be high during some other illness. You're a person, not a set of labs. Insist on a full explanation.

Depends: What type of urine sample was taken? If you only have results from a urine dipstick test and there is a concern for infection or other issue a better test would be a urinalysis with culture. The more sterile the sample the better

: You have kidney function compromise of moderate degree. There are many causes for this. Pl get yourself a thorough evaluation. in the meantime keep B'P in control. don't drink too many fluids . reduce salt intake

Stop worrying: You may be getting over a mild infection. Polyclonal elevations of IgG are common and never worth worrying about. If you have some other illness, this is a tip in diagnosing and following you. Otherwise, relax and keep an eye on how you actually feel.
