my tubes been tied 7 years but now i miss my cycle which was due dec 12 i need answers i do not hurt just sleep alot?

Rare: It is rare but pregnancies can occur after getting the tubes tied. Check a test.  Also you can ovulate less frequently and this can disrupt your normal cycles.  This can be evaluated by your doctor

i have a right nephrostomy tube in. can i sleep on my right side if it dose not cause pain. i usually sleep on my right and haven't slept. ?

Tube: If the tube is draining well and there is no discomfort on that side when you lie on it, it should be ok to sleep on that side, but your urologist is best qualified to advise you.

my daughter has pots and unable to do anything eat sleep in pain just everything i'm going to gi dr will they give her a feeding tube or just do test?

i have a nephrostomy tube just placed on my right. how do i sleep with it? secure it to my leg, or hang it off the bed? also can i sleep on my back?

Sleep on left: You will likely be most comfortable sleeping on your left side if possible.  Sleeping on your back may be possible if extra dressings are placed to pad the area around the tube.  It is not a good idea to hang the tube off the bed as it this tension might dislodge the tube internally and/or cause pain.  Best to lay bag beside you in bed and do not anchor to anything in case you turn in your sleep

Depends: This is delicate work, involving cutting a hole in a sensitive ear drum after cleaning & sanitizing the ear canal, then any mucous or debris is suctioned out of the middle ear with a vacuum that sounds like a train bearing down on you. I suppose an adult might want to tough it out awake, understanding that any movement might mess things up, but it wouldn't work for infants/kids.

90yo, refused food 20days, ng tube for 7, keep sleeping for 23.5h/d-tired! geriatric said her system maybe shutting down. how to determine stroke/dying?

End of Life: I am going to speak from my years working in hospice and with terminally ill patients. Why are you letting this matter.? This 90 year old woman is dying.  She should not be forced to eat; forced to be alert; forced to stay here any longer.  She is dying and she is exhausted; she has internal work to do to prepare for death.  This is a beautiful time.  Please let it be serene and peaceful.

Yes: You can sleep on your side if it does not cause you pain to do so. Be careful and do not overdo it. Take care.

Yes: You have been surgically deprived of almost 1/2 of your female hormone supply sending you into early perimenopause, as it were. Recommend consultation with your gynecologist about symptoms. Best wishes to you.

Yes: It's ok so long as you woke up and had all your mental capabilities you had before the anesthesia.
