See details: This is a neuropathy, usually either a carpal tunnel or cubital tunnel syndrome depending on the distribution of the numbness. See a doctor.

Carpal tunnel: The median nerve is very superficial, and sometimes in sleep we flex our wrists, leading to compression of the nerve and changes of numbness and tingling.,the swelling suggests excess salt or circulatory problems that vein outflow back to,the heart. This can produce all the symptoms you describe.

i m 61 yrs old. i have high bp problem & for it i take talma am. i get pins kind of sensation in heart or a layer sensation for some minutes. when i sleep my hands get numb.also when i lay on one side i get pain in left collarbone. what to do?

: Home vital signs and pulse oximetry may be checked, there may be a cardiac or renal condition. A physical exam and screening labs including COVID 19 screening, SARS CoV2 antibody testing to confirm a past infection may be indicated. Sleep disturbance has been reported in association with the infection. Relieve anxiety and use good sleep hygiene.

Positional: Evaluate how you are holding your hands at night when you sleep. If they are clasped in one position for hours the compression can cause numbness in both pinkies. Get wrist splints or change how you sleep with pillows. If they continue to bother you go to doctor for full workup

Carpal tunnel: If occurring exclusively at night, may still be carpal tunnel.  Compressive nerve syndromes get worst at rest, but so can degeneration of nerves, or neuropathy.  Need nerve conditions.

Carpal tunnel synd.: There a re many potential causes, but by far the most common is carpal tunnel syndrome (cts).  Cts is a compression of the median nerve at the wrist and many patients wake up with hand numbness.  Usually initial treatment is a night spilint.  If this does not work, surgery may be indicated.
