: Definitely screen time before sleeping can affect your ability to sleep well. If you are constantly staring at a screen, they can affect your vision also. You should take breaks periodically and try to limit screen time just before going to bed. Good luck.

i'm wondering if there is a connection between fibromyalgia, idiopathic hypersomnia with long sleep, and double vision.  it got me curious when the eye doctor was explaining how the double vision was in the brain and they don't know what causes it, etc.

i'm having my finals. not enough of sleep and i experience blurred vision and it affects my microscopic examination. i'm worried if it'll affect sight?

Artificial tears: To soothe tired eyes, use some artificial tears, which will temporarily help with blurring and hazy vision associated with tired, dry, irritated eyes.  If the problems persist after you are sleeping regularly again, time to see your eye doctor.

my heads been hurting for like a week, i cant sleep well and now my vision is getting blurred and im struggling to think properly. i get regular headaches every week. should i go to the hospital? should i seek help? what type?

Headaches: You definitely need to be evaluated. I'm suspicious of you're having pseudotumor cerebri, seen in women and is benign but highly symptomatic. Usually a neurologist is the specialist who investigates the cause of headaches and appropriate testing will be carried out. Testing may include brain ct scan or MRI, lumbar puncture to measure intracranial pressure and tests of eye function

No, but: It can increase your risk of complications with the contact lenses.   Be sure that your contacts are approved for sleeping.  Most are not.

Simple or complex: It maybe something simple as getting up too fast and your blood pressure being a bit low and cause reduced blood flow to your head- called orthostatic hypotension.  Another simple reason is protein debris on the tear film, very common in the morning that is usually blinked or washed away.  If you have this with any other neurologic signs- difficulty talking, holding objects, walking -go to your md.

why do i sometimes wake up from a dead sleep and not be able to see? the lights are on and i don't get up too fast. vision comes back after 5 minutes.

Needs evaluation: This may be a simple problem, a so-called hypnogogic (technically hypnopompic in this case) sleep problem. Many people experience unusual neurologic phenomena transitioning from sleep to wake or wake to sleep. However, with the limitations of this forum, it is impossible to determine whether a more dangerous neurologic problem is present. See your doctor for specific diagnosis.

Sleep paralysis: Visions during sleep paralysis are known as hypnagogic hallucinations, etiology of which is unknown but it is believed to occur when start to awaken from rem stage of sleep, and considered normal.

Related or not?: There are lots of possibilities here, all of which can be addressed by a physical exam and appropriate testing. Migraines for example can affect both head and gut ("intestinal migraine"). Please however don't contribute to your stomach upset by taking excessive nsaid's aimed at alleviating head ache.  Get checked to rule out more esoteric pathology.

vision went fuzzy,i got nauseated,sick,weak,hot flashes. it only happened once before that was last yr. i barely got sleep &only ate sweets that day??

How much?: How much sweet did you eat?  Probably to much. Don't do that again. Most likely that is what made you sick
