PMI: Yes - what you're seeing is the PMI or Point of Maximum Impulse - the place where in very thin people you can see the heart beat. This is 'normal' and nothing to worry about. Symptoms I WOULD worry about include 'fluttering' of the heart, getting dizzy, passing out etc. Over time if you gain weight - you may not see this any more, although likely you can still feel it with your hand.

Yeah probably: it is more of a point on whether this shows an enlarged heart (bad) or a skinny chest (not bad).
If the heart  pulsation is about halfway between nipple and center of chest that isn't big if the heart border extends out beyond the nipple and/or is 6 cm or more diameter then...might be a problem

Arrhythmia, sinus?: You feel your heart beating in your chest.  You note your heart rate is 68.  It may be sinus arrhythmia this is a pause and then strong beat after.  It could be atrial fibrillation or other abnormal rhythm.  Your heart can be beating but only contract at a lower rate (68).  If you feel ill or have family history then see your doctor for a cardiology referral to see an electrophysiologist. Ok

May be: There is such a thing called holiday heart which is an arrythmia brought on by drinking too much alcohol where the heart beats very fast. If it beats too fast for too long the heart can suffer from lack of oxygen and damage can be done. You need to seek medical advice.

See your physician: The feeling of your heart beating in your chest could be palpitations.  But, it shouldn't make you feel lightheaded or weak.  You should see your physician - they will do an exam, likely order a heart tracing, some blood work, and maybe some other tests to make sure you are ok.
