Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you. Structures that look like skin tags are normally present at the vaginal opening. The tags may or may not have stalks but do not get crusty. Lesions that are crusting warrant exclusion of herpes.

Big differences: Both are benign. We don't know the cause of skin tags but they are more common in those who are overweight. They do not need treatment and will not spread or be contagious. It is easy to cut off or freeze them off.
Genital warts are caused by HPV virus and can spread and also be contagious. While they can also be frozen they can be more difficult to eradicate.

See your ob or derm: Without looking at the growths it is hard to tell, but it sounds like genital warts.
Another possible diagnosis would be skin tags.

Skin tag ?'s: Labial "skin tags" can occur normally, and are benign.  Wart virus can also produce growths which appear similar to skin tags. This virus is very communicable, and can be picked up accidentally by males or females using public bathrooms by not washing hands thoroughly after use.  Get an exam by your GYN physician to make this diagnosis certain.

Certainly possible: If these skin tags are new- there is a possibility they could be genital warts- please practice safe sex as these are easily passed and see a doctor soon!
