What form of B12 ?: B12 can be replaced with liquid sublingual, pill for sub lingual or intramuscular shots. Yo can be alergic to something in the particular product you are using. Talk to your doctor. Have your blood level and CBC checked and keep the serum B12 above 350 throughout your entire life.

i have all symptoms for geographc tongue, it gets worse when i have vitamin b12 injections. \ have a rash on both wrists all the time too?

No connection: Geographic tongue is a completely benign condition where small finger like projections on the tongue surface disappear in patches.  Some think its related to a b complex deficiency.  Are you deficient?  If not, and you don't think the shots are helpful, then stop.  I usually just reassure the patient that ths is harmless, but if there is pain sometimes a steroid cream helps.  Rash not related.

I'm not sure: what you are specifically asking about, the question is a little unclear, but if you have a VP shunt and are experiencing increasing headaches/head pressure, you need to see your doctor for an evaluation.

Rash: Try benadryl (diphenhydramine) and hydorcortisone cream. If not better, take a picture of the rash and consult a Healthtap doctor.

Unlikely: As long as hyour intake of water-soluble (Niacin, B12, Folate, Thiamine, Riboflavin,Biotin) and lipid soluble ( A,D,E) vitamins are within FDA standards, you should see no harmful effects - suggest taking the lipid soluble vitamins within daily guidelines to avoid toxicity, excesses of water soluble vitamins rarely cause medical issues...

Not doing any good: At a gfr of 40 taking large dose of B12 is not doing any harm, but not doing any good either. It is just lightening your aunt's wallet.

I do not believe that you will find very much written on the toxic effects of B12 although I have had a couple of patients who took something on the order of 10x what I had prescribed them was already in the 10,000IU range so they were taking about 100,000IU daily for several weeks and the patient developed diarrhea.  When he stopped that resident, within several days diarrhea stopped
