Pinguecula: Most common would be a pinguecula or a pterygium, a thickening of the conjunctiva related to sun and dust exposure over your lifetime.  Rarely, people can develop cancers on the eye surface, so best to check it out with an exam, esp if growing/changing.

i have a piece of red skin in the corner of one eye, it just showed up last week. it seems to be getting a little bigger. any ideas what it might be?

Several things: A common red growth in that area is what is termed a pyogenic granuloma - a sort of heaped up healing tissue which can grow bigger and sometimes bleeds  there are other rarer possibilities.  See your ophthalmologist for evaluation and removal if needed.

Dark skin.: May need laser treatment. See a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon.

Vaseline: Vaseline will protect this and allow it to heal.  You benefit from reconstruction of this area.  See an oculoplastic surgeon for this.

Get checked: If the spots are not moving &amp;#40;like &quot;floaters&quot;&amp;#41;, then they may be due to a number of possible causes including damage to your cornea. You should discuss this with your primary medical provider or specialist, &amp; may need an ophthalmology evaluation. Hope that helps.

i am getting brown lines/shadows outside the outer corner of both my eyes, on the skin. i have never had that before and only noticed it about 2 days ?

Not a disease: What you described is not a disease. You may wish to sunscreen, however, be careful to use one that does not sting your eyes. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Black speck.: Your best bet would be to have this black speck evaluated locally by a Dermatologist.

Angular blepharitis: What you're describing sounds like angular blepharitis.  Try using warm compresses for 5 minutes a day first.  If it does not get better you're going to need to see your ophthalmologist to get a prescription.

Get seen.: Any change in skin coloration has the potential to be something serious.  Usually it isn't, but you need to be examined to find out what the spot is, and if treatment is necessary.  Wear sunscreen so the spot does not get darker. and you don't get more of them, if it is due to sun exposure.

Are you asking what: the red lines are? Or are you asking about the pink corner? Need more info in terms of symptoms: any itching, pain, inflammation, sensitive to brightness, achy, tearing, eyelid skin area inflamed? Light red means vasculature (blood supply),and are you seeing dilated blood vessels on the conjunctiva (whites of eyes) under pupil/cornea or just in corner? Please let us help you!
