i have developed what i believe is either heat rash/prickly heat or some kind of skin fungus. is there a way to figure out which?

stinging/itching/burning(feeling)/rash. multiple times a day. allergist and derm doctors had no answers. for sure not hives or skin issue. suspect either a nerve or less likely prickly heat. am i wrong to think this?

: Consider consulting an endocrinologist for evaluation and testing for hyperthyroidism or the much rarer entities, pheochromocytoma and carcinoid.

do i have prickly heat rash? i did hot yoga yesterday and now i am covered head to toe with tiny flat red bumps. they're especially bad on my glutes & quads. they itch, and i don't feel particularly good. they're not raised or full of pus

Heat : Heat rash (miliaria rubra) occurs when your sweat glands become blocked and sweat is trapped under the skin.  This can cause a red rash that can either look like little blisters or larger red lumps.  It can be itchy or "prickly" which is why many people refer to it as prickly heat.  Even though it can be annoying, the good news is that it usually resolves on its own.  You can help by preventing sweating such as staying in a cool environment, wear lightweight clothing of breathable material (like cotton), and limiting physical activity in the heat.  Calamine lotion can help with the itch.  Good luck!

dealing with outbreaks of stinging skin along with rash/internal burning/and itching. derm and allergist had no solutions(waiting for endocrinologist test results) my suspicions are towards a nerve problem or prickly heat(less likely). thoughts?

: Sorry, with these limited information we could not think much of anything else if both dermatologist and allergist could not make the diagnosis. I will be surprised that dermatologist gave up without a skin biopsy.

Heat rash: You could be having heat rash. You have to try and stay dry and cool because sweating makes it worse. Wear loose clothing, too.

Question is unclear: If talking about headaches, most people have a headache at some time, such as from colds and flus, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... Some people try OTC medications such as Tylenol, Motrin, Aleve, Excedrin, and their generic brands. A bad or increasing headache, recurrent or weird headache, or one with other worrisome symptoms should be examined.

is it appropriate to use ice or heat on head injuries?

Depends: If there is superficial swelling, i.e. "goose egg, " you may use ice.  Treatment for head injuries should include rest (lying down, limiting loud noises/bright lights).  Headaches, nausea, and dizziness are not uncommon - you may use tylenol/acetaminophen.  If symptoms do not improve or worsen, you should be evaluated by a healthcare provider.
