Check with neurosurg: Check with the neurosurgeon as to the type of shunt in place. With normal pressure hydrocephalus, it is very common that the shunt is a programmable shunt that allows the neurosurgeon to change the amount of drainage with a special magnet. There are some that are MRI resistant and some that aren't(these need reprogramming soon after mri). If it is non-programmable, you  don't need to adjust it.

Adenoma: The word "tumor" means "a lump".  A "tumor" is not necessarily a cancer (which is a tumor that spreads).  A pituitary adenoma is a tumor, but it is almost never a cancer.

Accepted Answer

No: Memory loss is not a symptom of a pituitary adenoma.  Even if a pituitary adenoma was causing abnormal production of certain hormones from the pituitary gland, memory loss would not result.

First, diagnosis: How do you know you have sinus pressure?  Is the pressure under the eyes, between the eyes or above the eyes or in the middle of the head?  Correct diagnosis comes first and if there is nasal discharge that is yellow, it can be cultured and an appropriate antibiotic given.  
The gold standard of diagnosis of sinusitis is a cat scan.  My emphasis is on getting a diagnosis before treatment.

Hyponasal speech...: can be due to nasal and sinus congestion. Swelling inside the nose due to the common cold or allergies or even a sinus infection can lead to less air flow through the nose resulting in a nasal voice (hyponasal) as if you're speaking while holding your nose shut. Sinus pressure can also be due some of the above causes, so yes you may have both symptoms as a result of nasal congestion.

Allergies: You probably have allergies.  Other possibilities include a sinus infection or even a dental infection in an upper tooth that causes sinus pain. I recommend that you see an allergist.

Saline rinses: Washing your nose with salt solution is a very effective way to help clear a nasal or sinus infection or pressure more quickly.  Drinking plenty of fluids will also thin the mucus to improve symptoms as well.

Accepted Answer

OTC meds can help: Some over the counter medications can help. If you don’t have a history of high blood pressure, phenylephrine or pseudoephedrine may help the most with the pressure. Other allergy medications such as cetirizine may also help with the swelling. For pain, ibuprofen or acetaminophen may help. For symptoms lasting longer than 10-14 days with OTC meds or if you are developing a fever, see your doctor.
