If congested for less than ten days, it is most likely just a cold, and there is nothing to do other than saline &amp; suction nose if difficulty feeding ( too much can irritate).  If other symptoms, she should see her doctor.

Maybe: I would have the infection treated. But the blood is from the tissue of the nose and sinus cavities being inflammed and "friable" (more likely to bleed).

: There are several causes of enlarged parotid glands ranging from obstructed salivary ducts from stone formation to autoimmune disease to infection to tumors. It seems you are being treated for an infection possibly from an obstructed duct. If you have dry mouth this might be also from an immune disorder. I suggest you followup an ENT doctor if your swelling does not subside to baseline soon.
