Yes it is possible: Yes you can have, especially frontal sinusitis.

Accepted Answer

: Rhinosinusitis or common cold can cause dry mouth because you tend to do mouth breathing during sleep with those condition.
Nasal or post nasal drainage has nothing to do with saliva production by my opinion.

Unusual: An acute sinusitis is usually accompanied by drainage and sinus pressure or pain.  Chronic infections may be unaccompanied by drainage and just have sinus pressure/pain.

Accepted Answer

Yes: A sinus infection occurs when bacteria (most commonly) grow and create pain/pressure in one of the sinuses.  Many times, one of the ostia, the openings from the sinus into the nasal passages get plugged up for various reasons without typical sinsus symptoms.  Recently had a patient with severe sinusitis whose only symptom was a bad cough.  Otherwise felt fine.

Post nasal drip: Usually with post nasal drip it is thin and clear , can have the clearing of throat and change in voice. Typically with sinus infection the discharge is thick and yellowish/greenish in color. Also you may feel pain around the nose and forehead area. Can also have a mild fever with sinus infection. Sounds more like post nasal drip in your case.

Sinuses &amp; Epistaxis.: The inflammation caused by sinus infection, along with the pure violence of constantly blowing your nose, can lead to nosebleeds in the context of a sinus infection  That being said, sinus infections tend to be bacterial, so you may be getting worse because you need an antibiotic.

i have a green runny nose that comes and goes after a week of finishing my sinus infection pills?

See doctor again: Need to check with your doctor or an ENT  perhaps the antibiotic was not the right kind or not taken long enough.  Another possibility is that there may be something obstructing the openings of your sinuses making it difficult to treat.

Sick!: So sorry you are still sick.  Your ability to fight off infection is greatly reduced because of the cigarette smoking. It affects the cilia in your nasal passages. You must stop and let your body heal.

Not necessarily: The symptoms of a sinus infection often involve a post nasal drip as opposed to a runny nose.  The nasal passages can actually be relatively clear if the sinuses are totally blocked and then there will often be a headache or facial pain and tenderness. The drainage will often be worse upon lying down and can trigger a cough.

No: Oftentimes, nasal mucus dries up in the nose and present with a yellowish or greenish color. Still, even if it's thick mucus, it does not suggest a sinus infection without other painful symptoms. You can get same thick mucus when you have early stage cold..
