Go to ER....: Your shortness of breath is a concerning symptom as well as your laryngitis which likely represents upper airway inflammation. You may have pneumonia so you need a chest x-ray as well as a sputum culture to diagnose the bacteria responsible for your infection. You may need supplemental oxygen as well as IV antibiotics so you should go to the nearest er asap. Let us know how you do! good luck!

See a doctor: This is not something that can easily be diagnosed over the internet. You need to be examined and further history obtained. The stiff neck, headache and fever are disturbing and need assessment to be sure you do not have involvement of the central nervous system. Go see your PCP. Best wishes.

husband on amox generic for seven days for sinus infection...took last pill 7 days ago.  as of last night, has fever 103.3. felt better after starting amox.  does he need a different type of antiobiotic?  time for er?

Typically : Typically sinus infections are treated for a minimum of ten days. If he is still having fever after 7 days then the antibiotics were not sufficient to cover his infection or the treatment was not long enough. He needs to be reevaluated. He should follow up with his primary care provider, if he is unable, an urgent care is a good choice.

Not always. : U can have sinusitis with no fever but u would have a headache or a facial congested feeling or drainage down the back of ur throat. Best 2 c an ENT specialist 4 evaluation and possibly imaging 2 confirm the diagnosis, & then follow recommended treatment.

No.: Low grade elevation of temperature is not of much consequence without other clinical symptoms such as increased pain, discharge, redness, etc.

Technically fever is a temp greater than 100.5 f.
