Sinus infection: Yes it could be. Allergies are bad this time of year and can contribute to the symptoms. These could cause a cough, worse when lying down, facial tenderness, congestion, a fever and headache. See your PCP for treatment if symptoms persist

Sinus: See ENT. CT scan may be indicated. Appear to have recurring exposure to viruses and/or bacteria from carriers. Avoid coughs, wash hands frequently.

Neti Pot: Your lack of taste and smell is likely related to your sinus congestion. The congestion blocks the cells that allow you to taste and smell. Sinus rinses with saline, using either a squirt bottle or a neti pot may help clear the swollen areas to allow you to smell and taste. A very short course of decongestants may also be helpful, but don't overdo it with these.

Throat infection: possible throat infection due to strep or herpes simplex. May also be blister due to burn due to hot food. Please see a physician soon

Not typically: While sinusitis may result in symptoms of post-nasal drainage and discharge down the throat leading to sore throat symptoms, sinus infections typically will not cause pus pockets in the throat or tonsils.

Tonsil stone?: You may have a "stone" in the tonsil - these come from food debris getting stuck in the little divots in the tonsil.  Often you can gargle them out or reach back and pop them out yourself.  If that doesn't work, see your doctor for a check.

i am taking amoxicillin for a sinus infection . i was exposed to strep throat can i still get it?

Strep Throat: Amoxicillin is also used to treat strep throat.  So it is unlikely that you will also get strep throat.

i suffered a sinus infection 2 weeks ago with a sore throat.now i have another battle with a sore throat, except now it's only one side of my throat ?

Can still happen: and can still be viral, not sure if you received any antibiotic treatment  in the first episode. Salt water gargles, saline nasal washes, rest and pain killers would help, if no improvement, you want to see your doctor for possible need of Rx meds, best wishes
