is there a good medication to calm down nervousness?

Calm nerves: Benzodiazepines (xanax, ativan, klonopin, etc)  calm nerves effectively and quickly but can cause sleepiness and don't mix with alcohol. Long term use can cause dependence. Many doctors try to use antidepressants such as Cymbalta (duloxetine) in the long run even if they use bz acutely.

Metoclopramide ;: Chlorpromazine are sometimes used. Hiccups often respond well to acupuncture as well. Breath in slowly ; deeply through your nostrils. Fill your lungs with air (but not to the point of discomfort). Hold for a count of five then slowly begin to exhale through an open mouth. Repeat at least 12 times, longer if you need to.

Stage fright: The commonest medicine taken by performing artist for stage fright or before an important public speech is 'propranolol' or Inderal. It is contraindicated in people with asthma.

Effexor: Venlafaxine is somewhat notorious for increasing anxiety at start of treatment. I have noticed from experience that it tends to calm down in over a week.

If nervous is : Anxiety then it may be a condition. Anxiety symptoms can include feeling nervous or irritable, muscle tension (especially in neck, shoulders ; back), poor quality or minimal sleep, lack of concentration ; easy fatiguability. Lump in throat or butterfly in stomach sensation can occur. Sometimes the worst thing about anxiety  not being able to put your finger on the reason that you feel that way.

Chronic manifestations attributed to lyme disease seldom respond to antibiotic therapy and are considered by many to be immune system mediated symptoms, perhaps to products of the spirochaete that have remained in the body rather than to active infection.

No: There is no evidence that any vitamin supplement helps alleviate symptoms associated with any psychiatric illness. Vitamin k specifically has no known effects on the brain or on psychiatric illness. It is primarily associated with bone growth and clotting. There is some research associating omega 3 fatty acids (especially high dha) with better mental health but even these are preliminary.

Common side effects: The name of bronchodilators is beta2agonists. The common side effect is a palpitation, also common tremor, sweating and agitation. The medicine dilates vessels and stimulates the heart. If you use it too often the side effect is more prominent.

can nervousness and tension cause sudden rise in eye pressure during eye exam? can this be misinterpreted as glaucoma symptom? tension/nervousness would be related to prexisting condition of minor cp with no prior/current eye issues for a 45 yr old?

: Nervousness and tension can increase systemic pressure but less likely affect the intraocular pressure. High intraocular pressure can lead to glaucoma and not all cases of glaucoma have high intraocular pressure. You should have it checked again and have it monitored as recommended. Most clinicians would initiate treatment in a patient with two instances of IOP above 25 mmHg.
