Possibly: If the reason for using alimentum initially was for milk protein allergy/colitis, it is important to note that a significant percentage of babies with the allergy will also have a reactivity to soy. Talk to your pediatrician.

my son's pediatrician said that he might be allergic to milk so she changed his milk to similac alimentum. why is he still having diarrhea?

Milk allergy? : Need more information here to answer this! How is the baby's growth? Are the stools watery? How many a day? Any blood in the stool? Any exposures to animals?  What's your water source? Well water or city water?  If he is growing well, we will worry less about this issue.  Best of luck!

my baby is 3 months old and she is on  similac alimentum. recently her poops have been absorbed in her diaper. there is no actual solid material. it doesnt seem like diarrhea cuz there is no mucus and its not super watery. is she ok?

Probably normal: This is probably normal. In some infants, their complete use of the nutrients in the feedings leaves very little or no waste products. Watch for blood, watery consistency and mucus. At your 4m appointment mention it to your Dr so they can check.

: Continue the formula as advised by your Pediatrician. If flavoring may be added, this may result in better intake. Allergy testing may provide additional information and may be ordered by your PCP.

Monitor intake/temp: The hypoallergenic formula is not associated with this change usually. Watch for signs of infection, including a T of 100.4 or higher, poor feeding and vomiting. If there is blood or mucus in the stool, an infection is more likely.

my baby 4 month old is on enfamil gentlease. lately she can't pass (poop) , she is spitting up a lot, faring and she can't sleep (moving all night) which other formula do you think i can use?dr here recommended similac alimentum but very expensive

Thicken feed: Rice cereal may be added to the feeding to thicken the feed. This will help to reduce reflux.  Slower feedings and burping the baby mid and after the feeding may be helpful. Avoid over feeding and hold the baby at an angle of 30-45 degrees. 
For forceful vomiting, red or green tinged vomitus or continued symptoms, please see your pediatrician.

Yes,but why: Baby formula (similac) is balanced nutrition designed for the growth needs of infants. The products are safe when consumed by adults. However, products like ensure or ensure plus are more specific to adult needs.Carnation breakfast essentials added to milk would provide a similar dietary supplement.
