Tar: cleaning out: It is a good sign. It is often difficult for actively smoking humans to clean up or clear out their lungs.  It surprises some that in the early months after quitting smoking they cough more and often have more productive junk when they cough.  But, as your lungs clear out this tar and other waste products you will get to a healthier ability to breath and the lungs can begin to heal.

Smokeless tobacco: Smokeless tobacco, as well as smoking cigarettes, cigars ; pipes all cause oral cancers. Rather than waiting until you develop early lesions, stop right now! these lesions start on a microscopic level until you notice (or don't because it's in a hidden spot) a red or white spot, ulcer or bump. Any lesion that lasts more than two weeks should be biopsied. Add alcohol 2 the mix and you increase risk.

Thankfully you have stopped the smokeless tobacco. Since you are a minor, any treatment needed will need your parent's consent. Forget about alarming them... They need to know so that they can take care of you. Tell them asap and have your condition evaluated.
