gerd or "silent reflux" from forward head posture? if i fix the fhp will the gerd symptoms go away? 7 months of this and no signs of getting better.

Unlikely: Posture is not likely to be the problem.  It may be related to hyperacidity, hiatal hernia or other GI problem.  You should definitely see a GI doctor and have this assessed since it may be as simple as having helicobacter pylori infection treated with antibiotics.  Good luck and feel better soon.

i feel kind of full and hungry at the same time i dont feel no pain or symptoms is this normal or can this be a sign of bloating can relate to my gerd?

GERD : Reflux pain can mimic the pain we experience when we are hungry, so it is important to know which is happening to be able to treat effectively. If you feel full and 'hungry' at the same time, this sounds more like symptoms of GERD

i have on and off feeling like air/gas  multiple bubbles to the left or below chest area no sign of pain or symptoms i do have gerd/acid reflux. help?

Hard to say: that is certainly where your stomach could lie and cause stomach symptoms. Perhaps over the counter antacids , observation and if worsening symptoms see your doctor?

i notice chest pain only when i bend over to pick up something up off the floor. no chest pain any other time.  but when i bend over it takes my breath away.  i take omeprazole for gerd.  no history of heart problems and no other signs symptoms of heart p

Chest : Chest pain is a symptom that causes great concern for patients, and rightfully so.  Chest pain may be a symptom of a life-threatening condition such as a heart attack.  Chest pain can also be caused by other problems such as muscle pain or heartburn.

Chest pain from angina (heart pain) is often described by patients as pressure, squeezing, or tightness in the chest.  It can radiate to the neck, arms, or back.  It can be associated with other symptoms such as nausea, sweating, palpitations, shortness of breath,  weakness, or fainting.  Angina can be brought on by exercise, and sometimes relieved with resting.  Risk factors for angina include patients with high blood pressure, smoking, a family history of heart disease, high cholesterol, or diabetes.   However, some people also describe their angina as feeling like indigestion or heart burn.

Classic heartburn can be associated with an acid taste in the mouth, or with regurgitation of acid-tasting fluid into the mouth (reflux), especially if bending over or lying down.  Certain foods can contribute to indigestion (chocolate, fatty or fried foods, or coffee for example).

Both angina and heartburn cause pain in the middle of the chest.  It is important that if you have chest pain and don't know the cause that you contact a physician for consultation.  If your symptoms feel like classic heartburn, you can try an antacid, but if you have more concerning symptoms of feeling lightheaded, sweating, nausea, palpitations, or fainting, or if your symptoms are severe or last greater than 20 minutes, you should be evaluated immediately by a physician.  If you are concerned you are having angina, you should also take a 325 mg Aspirin (if you have not been told not to use Aspirin by your doctor), as this can improve outcome in patients with heart problems.  Any new or persistent chest pain patient should be evaluated by a doctor.

6 month old presents w/ intermittent vomiting (not projectile) and diarrhea for 5 days. no irritability, sleeplessness, fever, dehydration, decreased appetite or any other signs of illness. what could cause these symptoms? has gerd, possibly teething

Likely infection: GERD &amp; Teething should not cause diarrhea for 5 days. The most important thing is to prevent dehydration from the diarrhea. Increase the fluids and if the child is not peeing every few hours like normal or is listless or lethargic or otherwise seems unwell speak to your doctor.

Quite a few symptoms: Gastroesophageal reflux disease=acid from stomach refluxing into esophagus/mouth causing symptoms such as acid/sour taste in mouth, chest pain/heartburn, indigestion/dyspepsia, biter taste if bile comes up, sorethroat/hoarseness, coughing--symptoms often worse with spicey, fatty foods, alcohol, mint, caffeine etc...Everyone refluxes a bit; too much =gerd. Consult doc. Good luck.

See below: Eating within 3 hours of bedtime, overating, meals high in fat, tomatoes, spicy foods, nicotine, chocolate, peppermint, and alcohol can all make gerd worse.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Some patients with gerd have increased symptoms with physical exertion due to increase in both gastric (stomach) and abdominal pressure. Be careful about eating prior to activity, and watch alcohol intake and large meals.  Some patients pre-medicate with antacids prior to physical exertion.

can you still get gerd symptoms even with taking omeberazole?

Yes: it is possible that the omeprazole that you're taking is not adequately controlling your reflux, and the symptoms may still be present. If you have been taking the omeprazole for at least two weeks and are not improved,  I would contact the doctor who prescribed it and see what the next step is. You should continue antireflux measures also.  Good luck.
