good day

ive been using valsartan for hypertension reasons but had to stop because it causes me epididymitis, now i use  atorvastatin and its giving me vivid dreams. is there anything better i can use with less side effects ?

Medication : You can speak to a doctor about changing your medication. I remember and a patient who had 20 medications on her allergy list, but when you continue to ask her details about the side effects you come to realize she did not want any medication because she believed that all medication is bad for her.  Sometimes patients express concerns indirectly

Can be...: But are also common due to stress, sleep patterns, medications and many other factors. We still don't know much about dreams, and what affects them.

Yes: These can be fairly common with aricept (donepezil).

Accepted Answer

No: Lucid dreaming only means your are aware you are dreaming and can attempt to  "control the dream content".  You can't go in to a coma from lucid dreaming.

Yes, possibly: if you do not ejaculate, you could get congestion of your prostate.

i have been prescribed tropaz and symbicord for asthma. what can be done to mitigate the side effects of the tropaz? i have difficulty in sleeping and when i do sleepi have extremely disturbing dreams.

Asthma plan: A review of your triggers, avoidance of dust, mold, smoke, pollen and animal dander helps to control exposure to potential asthma triggers.  The Symbicort use may be complemented with the use of Singulair a non steroidal controller. The Symbicort dosage may be reduced if there is good control. If you avoid caffeine and eating two hours prior to meal time, this also may reduce GER.

i've had crazy side effects coming off lexapro- crazy dreams, mood swings, is this depression again?

Not necessarily: Going on and coming off of antidepressant can have consequences. Going on can result in a brief period of dreams or nightmares that clears quickly. Coming off of antidepressants can have a resurgence of the dreaming which goes away, but true withdrawal symptoms can also occur. If depression shows up after you have been off of the antidepressant, most likely it's a return of your depression.

im taking atomic weight loss pills theres side effects im having, insomnia, horrible dreams, and more...is this normal?

Insomnia, dreams ...: No this is not normal. You must see a Psychologist who will work you through your current problems. Have your doctor refer you!

since starting neurontin (gabapentin) 300mg twice daily 3 days ago, i've had these weird vivid dreams and teeth clenching. are these normal side effects?

Not rare: side effects. Mostly they tend to go away. They don't sound all that bad and if you get significant benefit from neurontin (gabapentin) (which is overall a VERY safe drug) then, it's probably worth it.

what to do about wet dreams?

Accepted Answer

Wet dreams: Caused by build up of semen which is continuously beiong produced in healthy men. You can either live with them, masturbate on a regular usually infrequent basis or find a partner with whom to have sex. Good luck.
