Aspercreme: Hi, no it should not cause any systemic side effects. local side effects such as irritation of the skin can still happen.

Depends on formulati: Some have been minimally accused of being carcinogenic but the cancer risk in not using it is greater. Allergy and eye irritation are all else i can think of.

Skin atrophy: As mentioned in a prior answer, any of the strong cortisone creams, should be avoided on the face, because repeated use for longer periods of time will cause atrophy of tissue.  This can be true of a cortisone shot too.  If you received a cortisone shot, months later there may be a small puckered area where the fat layer of the skin atrophied.

No worries: Here in California, we haven't heard of any major health problems related to exercising daily, eating 3 meals daily, masturbating daily, sleeping 8 hours daily, or doing a good deed for others daily. In general, masturbation is universal in men, women, boys, and girls. No worries, but as with cell phone use, common sense is important... don't do it while driving. Pull over.

Betamethasone: Betaderm is a brand of betamethasone sold in UK. Depending upon formulation (acetate vs dipropionate vs valerate), it's potency ranges from medium-low to high potency. We typically don't recommend high potency for use on face unless monitored closely by Dermatologist given risk for side effects (hopefully none if only 3wks use). Hydrocephalus : The symptoms assoctiated with this condition (if that is infact what you have) can depend on the cause, duration and severity of your condition. Some people have subtle symptoms whereas some may have difficulty with walking and urination. The presentation can vary greatly.

What side effect?: Potential side effects of Botox include mild facial asymmetry, heaviness of the brow and rare complications such as drooping of an eyelid. Most asymmmetries can be corrected with a small amount of additional botox. Heaviness of the brow or drooping of an eyelid is usually a short-term problem, lasting only a couple of weeks. The effects of Botox are usually completely gone by 3 to 4 months.

Yes: Chloasma, or darkening of the skin is a common side effect of oral contraceptive therapy.  It is usually not too noticeable and its appearance varies from individual to individual.  It has been reported with all oral contraceptives.

Do not scrub it: See a plastic dermatologist or plastics specialist, and never use it again on or near face.  See prior answers about this topic.  A caution and comment about the fact that you mentioned an ointment.  How potent a topical steroid is has an enormous amount to do with if it's in cream form (milder) or ointment form (much more potent); if use occlusive dressing over it, then ten times more potent.
