Radioactive Dyes or: 'tracers' are special dyes usually given through an IV as part of a nuclear medicine study.  Tracers contain a small amount of a radioactive isotope that decays naturally over time and is eliminated in the urine and stool.   Most nuclear med procedures are painless except for mild discomfort associated with the iv.  Allergic reactions to tracers are rare. Inform the tech if you could be pregnant.

should not: The radioactive dye should be sterile and not cause infection. However, if the site of injection is not cleaned properly or the IV used for the injection becomes infected, there can be a risk of blood infection.

: Well you might get better! Not a bad side effect. ;-).  This short term burst of steroids should not likely cause and side effects unless you are allergic to it.  Go to Drugs.com and review possible side effects. And then discuss with Dr and decide if possible side effects are more bothersome in you than your red swollen eyes. Discuss.

First : First you need your eye doctor to see why you are getting red--is it the lens fit, allergies, or dryness?  Treating the correct issue will solve the problem rather than hiding it with get the red out drops which simply cause rebound redness a few hours after use.

iam using a 0.5%w/v steroid eye drops inorder to get rid of itching and redness since 2years ( twice a day). will there be any side effects in future and for how  many years can we use a steroid eye drops?

: Long term topical steroid use in your eyes can cause glaucoma (which can blind you) and cataracts which may require surgery.  I strongly advise against unsupervised, long term use of steroid eye drops!!!

Ask prescriber: Prolonged use of Reglan (metoclopramide) to speed up gastric emptying has risks . Mild side effects include dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, headache hypertension and restlessness, dangerous side effete include decrease in white blood cells, heart arrhythmia, adrenal disorder, several neurologic syndromes.Some pediatricians have been trying Erythromycin as a agent to speed up gastric emptying. Zantac is widely used.

i finished radiation for breast cancer dcis 2 weeks ago . im on tamoxifen now no side effects yet but i do have redness under breast how do i know if its reaction to radiation or tamoxifen?

: Some redness on the skin of the breast is expected after Radiotherapy. Tamoxifen does not have this side effect.
So I would advise you to watch the red area and keep it dry(avoid sweating) and expect resolution redness over the next 2-3 weeks.
There is sometimes yeast(Candida)infection under the breast which may require antibiotic treatment. Consult your radiation oncologist if the redness worsens
