May be error: Elevated potassium can be cause by any number of things.  A common cause of a blood sample that wasn't prepared correctly.  If the blood sample was hemolyzed, potassium levels can rise.  Certain medicines can cause elevated potassium.  Side effects are minimal.  High levels of potassium can cause heart rhythm problems.  Make sure you follow up with your physician.

The runs: I'd say most common side effect of amox/clavulonate is loose stools.  If severe, stop, if doesn't clear, call doctor.  Allergy to this is generally a rash, could be throat swellling.  Take afte food, all antibiotics can nauseate you or upset your stomach a bit.

The only serious one that can develop is a high potassium level. At your age, i would expect that you have no chronic kidney disease of any significance so I do not think that you will have this problem, at present.

: The goal potassium intake is 4,700 mg if you should be using the DASH diet.  Your supplements are giving you almost no K. If you need to take K because blood is low ask to be tested for Primary Aldosteronism.

florinef (fludrocortisone) for pots 50mcg felt a lot better now .1mg feel dizzy and sick. will these side effects go? potassium is fine weekly blood test. ughh!

Lower dose?: You may need to lower the dose, but you should only do this with your doctor's supervision! never stop Florinef (fludrocortisone) abruptly, it could lead to fatal adrenal crisis if you were previously on it for awhile. Florinef (fludrocortisone) supresses your body's natural production of cortisol, so stopping suddenly can cause low cortisol crisis.

It depends: If you do not hint potassium it might be ok but taking Lisinopril may cause high potassium and the idea of taking potassium may not be tight. At time when patients are on high dose diuretics they have tendency to loose potassium in that case potassium needs to supplemented.

regarding dried fruit, i thought raisins and prunes don't need preservatives. my last package of prunes had potassium sorbate. why is that needed?

Preservative: Potassium sorbate is a natural preservative that serves basically the same function as sulfites.  It is also used as a flavor enhancer in baby food.  Like sulfates, it is "generally regarded as safe" by the fda.
