as i've thyroid, i'm taking l-thyroxine 100mcg medicine since one month. pls tell me if there are any side effects of this medicine like weight gain..

No side effects.: Thyroxine is a replacement hormone that takes the place of your naturally occurring hormone.  Thyroxine can give expected effects if too much or too little is taken but these are not "side effects."   keep your TSH on the low end of normal - say below 2.5 and all will be well.

taking fludrocortisone for a year (pots) and synthroid (thyroxine) for 4 (hashimoto) could any of these medicines could cause muscle pain n twitching side effect?

Perhaps: Possibly more common would be secondary electrolyte changes due to the mechanism of fluid retention involved with the fludrocortisone.  Have these been checked recently.  Also, with POTS, a mast cell activation syndrome could be considered.

See below: Your potassium can be corrected in 24 hours with resolution of symptoms, if any. Thyroid hormone lasts longer. You may see benefit within days but it takes six weeks to fully equilibrate. Ask you doctor to switch you from Chlorthalidone which is famous for causing low potassium to a combination of hydrochlorothiazide/triamterene. This is just as inexpensive and avoids low potassium.

Side effects: There usually are not many side effects of Synthroid. If the dose is too high however, then you may have weight loss, agitation, tremors, looser stools, sweating.

Less than a week: Depending on how underactive you are will determine how soon you will feel the effects of not taking your thyroid medication. It may be a week or it may be a month. It also depends upon how sensitive you are and how in tune you are to your body.

TSH: If your are on Thyroxine, you should have a TSH drawn. TSH or thyroid stimulating hormone is the signal from the brain which tells your thyroid to secrete thyroxine. When you are taking thyroxine the appropriate dose should normalize the TSH level.

: Should be none. Figure out a way to prevent this. Such as a pill container divided so that you can put each doses each day in a separate bin.   Can get them is any drugstore.

Hyperthyroid: Too much Levoxyl (thyroxine) can give you the symptoms of hyperthyroidism. Most importantly it can cause osteoporosis . You can have a rapid heart rate, tremor, diarrhea , hair loss, elevated blood pressure, anxiety and weight loss among others. It is important if you are on this medication to see your doctor regularly and check your thyroid levels.
