i want to find out regards to removing penile warts.
will this be covered under the key care scheme?
and how do i go about getting rid of this?
i'm not confident enough to just go to any doctors with this as it is very embarrassing.

my derm says that repeated cryo for penile warts is + likely to cause scarring and sensation loss than imiquimod. true? he says imiquimod doesn't harm healthy tissue. it harms whatever it touches, no?

Yes: Because the skin on the penile shaft and glans penis is so thin cryo usually ends up being full thickness through the skin. This = scar. If you destroy just the epidermis it will heal without a scar. Imiquimod  causes the body to react to the infected cells and destroy them with your own immunologic response. It only affect the epidermis cells therefore the result is no scar. Good health

is genital warts a sign of cheating. married 13years and i think husband has warts now. he has bumps based of penis and one on the penis. he is faithful how could they show up 13 years later?

: Genital warts are caused by certain strains of c fthe HPV virus, and they can recur many years later all by themselves, on the genitals, penis, Hans, or mouth, or anywhere. They are not necessarily a sign that your husband is cheating. It is good to have them treated by your primary care doctor or a dermatologist. Good luck.

Why not?: I think it is entirely possible since the wart is from a virus.  See your doctor to get treated and no sexual contact until this has been cleared up or until you are certain that this is not a genital wart. Else you are risking your potential partners' health.

Skin tags: I can't really tell what they are without seeng them but the description sounds like skin tags. You should see a dermatologist for verification. Skin tags are benign and pose no risk but you can remove them if they bother you.

Genital warts: The hpv types that cause external visible warts (hpv types 6 and 11) rarely cause cancer.
Other hpv types (most often types 16, 18, 31, 33 and 35) are less common in visible warts but are strongly associated with penile and vulvar intra-epithelial neoplasia (pre-cancerous changes) and squamous cell carcinoma (scc) of the genital area especially cervical cancer and less frequently invasive vulvar c.

No worries: Different HPV types cause warts than cancer. Penile cancer is very rare in both circumcised and uncircumcised men. Equally important, all penile cancer is easily cured if diagnosed and treated early. See a doctor if you develop any unexplained future penile bumps or sores. If that were to happen, it's probably 20 or more years in the future.

Yes/no: For one thing, the strains that produce warts are not associated with cancer, but you could have picked up non-wart cancer associated strains the same way Since circumcised men have the whole penis available for monitoring, recognition &amp; treatment before any cancerous change would be easier. There is no 100% prevention with a circ, but it sure helps.
