using diffrin 1%cream at night, my skin burns when i put it on and afterwards when i have my face against pillow or when i put cream on my face. help?

Common: Use a tiny amount. Wait 20 min after washing before application of differen. Use a moisturizer after you apply differen. Use just 2 or 3 times a week at first. After a few weeks your face will no longer react this way. Note that it takes 3 months to appreciate the benefits.

Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine): If first degree burn, often cool compresses and steroid cream may be sufficient.
If second degree burn, Silvadene (silver sulfadiazine) cream provides zinc oxide for healing and protection along with a topical antibiotic - provided you are not allergic to Sulfa.
keeper covered with cotton wrap and change daily. Seek medical attention asap if any symptoms/signs of infection. Take care!

Takes a while: It takes several exposures for an allergic reaction to occur.  Stop using it and take benedryl if there is itching or hives.

Exfoliating: Some creams have exfoliating ingredients that peel off the old skin to bring out the new skin.  This can feel irritating like a skin burn.  If your skin is literally burned, stop using the product.  This is called a chemical burn.

our son had his peg removed in january but the wound is still leaking slightly. he is on nexium esomeprazole and silbecor cream to reduce skin burn. is there perhaps some stronger h2 blockers you would recommend or other solution speed up the healing?

Delayed healing: Many times a wound infection may impair healing. He will benefit from having his wound reevaluated by his treating physician with cultures as felt needed per direct exam. H2 blockers are not as strong as proton pump inhibitors and not expected to influence healing at this point.

Its a reaction: That reaction can be found in some antifungal creams such as nystatin. In my experience the burning lasts only a short time and does no harm to the skin. Its best to go to the pharmacy and take the antifungal with you and ask for a different one. When you apply put a very small amount on  your skin and note the reaction.

Local ?: If you treated this with local cream like anti-fungal, you may need oral medication.  See your pcp.

Very thoroughly: wash the area to be sure all the lye is gone. Treat the chemical burn as you would one from a hot iron: 
Apply Neomycin ointment to prevent tnfection and keep the area loosely covered. Healing will be slow. Keep the wound clean.

Sensitive 2 ingrednt: Aclohol is commonly used as a solvent for fragrances in sunscreens and this may be one cause for the burning.  Try fragrance free or sensive skin sunscreen. Sunblocks with micronized zinc oxide are usually very easy and non-irritating to the skin.

Ease up!: You are probably pressing too hard as you pull the razor across your face, and you're removing a layer of skin cells along with your beard. Ease up. The other possibility is that you are having either an allergic or a direct irritant reaction to some component of the lotion; try a different one.
