any advice? what suturing technique is used in placing a jackson-pratt drain?

Pretty simple: I just use a 2-0 or 3-0 stitch, which i tie down to the patient , then i wrap the suture around the catheter and tie it down . I just want a little crimp in the drain catheter, so it won't slip out but will allow drainage. I prefer braided (silk) suture for this, though some prefer nylon. I hope this answers your question. Sure: Drinking water will not do any harm. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

As long as recommend: Removable appliances can be designed to do a multitude of functions.  Only your dentist knows what it was designed to do, how many hours per day it should be worn, and for how long.  Please discuss this with your treating dentist.  Understand that no two patients have the same identical problems, nor do they require the same treatment.

Titanium Hardware: If placed under abnormal amounts of stress, medical hardware can break and fail.  I've seen broken screws more commonly but it would be possible to break plates as well.

Wound care: What is your tetanus status? If you don't know or it has been more than 10 years, then a tetanus shot would be prudent.  The lesion needs to be cleaned with warm soap & water. Can you reach the area to do that or know someone who could?  If you have really dirty or thick road burn or equivalent - it would be good to have wound care done by a health care  professional. Take care. Nsaid's for pain.

No: The shape of the body is mostly dictated by the genetic make-up. Also where someone loses or gains weight is also dictated by the genetic make-up. However, for most part, abdominal fat is linked to obesity, diabetes, heart disease, and many more chronic diseases. Therefore loss of abdominal fat and fat around waist to hip (more around waist) is very important no matter what the body proportions ar.

Changing rituals: Shaving body parts as a cultural or individual method of expression goes back centuries. The egyptians recorded many such patterns in stone carvings.Currently many males & females strip various body surfaces of their natural hair growth. I occasionally see some embarrassed kids for hair follicle infections brought about by the process.I'm sure it will change again in the future.
