Stone or ulcer: You could have passed a stone into the common bile duct which would cause similar symptoms. Ulcer disease or functional dyspepsia are possible. Not sure that eosinophil count is relevant. See your doctor or GI specialist for further evaluation.

Here's one test you can do at home: if you hop in place and the pain is really severe when you do that, or you are limited by pain, then go to the ER as well, that could be what is known as peritonitis and may require surgery.

Acid: Because food will relieve the pain from stomach acid, food will help both pain from reflux of acid into the esophagus as well as pain from ulcer.  The pain will reoccur however, usually 15 - 20 minutes after eating.  You should report your symptoms to your doctor.
