Hard to say: There are quite a few causes of low back, hip and rib pain - from degenerative disk disease to bone conditions, to arthritis, to trauma/injury, to pain coming from the uterus or ovaries, or shingles. If the pain is significant or ongoing, you see your doctor for an evaluation.

?nerve or bone pain: If the discomfort seems to start in the back and travels along the rib cage, it could stem from a pinched nerve from a spur or disc in the vertebral area. You may need xrays of your spine and rib cage for evaluation. Have your physician look into it.

Fracture or bruise : Could have small rib fracture or bruise, pulled muscle.  Can certainly try ice (20 minutes 3/day ), antiinflammatories.  If you are having shortness of breath please get seen in er asap!

Given the constant and unremitting nature of your pain, I would suggest an urgent evaluation, possibly with ultrasound and routine bloodwork to start.
