Infection: Did they find the source as to why you're getting the septic arthritis? You are at significantly higher risk of MRSA septic arthritis, especially with a prosthesis? Did they eradicate the infection before the total hips and knee? How did they confirm they were eradicated?

The next step is to see a medical provider and have an MRI performed on the knee including the distal femur to evaluate the cyst and knee joint in more detail.

The knee is easily injured for lack of the muscles; the knee, being a weight bearing joint is prone to twisting injuries, with strains/sprains frequently occurring, many times more so than the other 2. Also knee is an unstable joint with no inherent stability, like the hip.
