Heel Pain: We worry about plantar fasciitis, but you might need to have this evaluated by your primary care doctor who might refer you to a physical therapist to teach stretching exercises. Try a heating pad and some gentle anti-inflammatory meds until you can see your doctor.

kind of sharp pain in my heel today, maybe i've been standing on it too much, i have a habbit of standing on one foot, maybe something else? planar faciitus? i have cushioned heel insoles, of course during the week they are in 2" heel logger boots?

: If it is planter fasciitis it cushioned  heel is not going to resolve your problem. Proper support in the arch will help along with stretching of the Achilles tendon

Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Since the pain is not constant and appears to be only when the heel is in contact with the floor, it may be that you have picked up a foreign body. Depending on the heel placement, the heel my hurt or not. Another reason could be that you are in the beginning stage of developing plantar fasciitis or a type of heel spur problem.

I doubt it: It's difficult to ascertain where you are talking about "inside of foot, close to heel" could be plantar fascitis, posterior tibial tendonitis...would be easier to give dx if your location was more precise.

Fracture or PF.: Could be many things, but the two most likely are either a stress fracture or plantar fasciitis. The best way to know is to get an x-ray of your foot. Another clue is when it hurts: stress fractures are all the time, while pf hurts most with the first few steps in the morning, or after sitting for a long time. See a podiatrist to rule out nerve entrapment.

Heel Pain: Heel pain in any shape or form begins and starts with plantar fasciitis.  This small ligament that attaches the base of the heel to the muscles on the bottom of the foot can become very inflammed and painful.  A tight achilles tendon is also associated with heel pain.  If the pain is more in the middle of the heel, then advanced imaging may be necessary to diagnose the problem.
