Can't say: Don't know if you are having a forceful tremor or what.  Without an assessment and full history it would not be possible to say what the cause was.   Don't know enough about your neck or chiropractic treatments to comment further on that.

Night Shakes : Without more description it is hard to say. Are you experiencing shaking chills, a "wired" or involuntary muscle spasms? Sleep apnea, stress-related anxiety, and seizures can cause this. So can excess caffeine or even cigarette smoking in the evening. Do you awake in the morning refreshed, or are you "dragging" all day? If you can't seem to isolate the cause, make an appointment to see your doctor.

sometimes when i wake up suddenly during  the night when i try to go back to bed i feel as if i am shaking. is this normal or something serious?

Depends on cause: I would mention it to your physician, also make sure that there is no concern for diabetes as sometimes we can have fluctuating blood sugars and shaking is one of the symptoms. Sometimes it may also be related to something we dreamed. Record a diary and write down exactly what you feel or remember during these episodes as we have learned that if we listen, the patient will tell us the diagnosis.

Nightmare : It may be related to so many things but I would like request you to check TSH and follow up with your PCP.

Panic attack: Sometime happens....a dream may "trigger" it..If it RECURS.....seek help...start with your PCP Primary Care Provider!

You may be waking: from a nightmares (and may or may not have recall of the nightmare). Have you experienced traumas? If this is recurrent, insure that you are medically evaluated for any possible underlying medical conditions. See that you have anxiety and depression - be sure to discuss with you pyschiatrist.

RLS: You could possibly have restless leg syndrome which can cause twitching  of your leg.

Post-trauma possible: You might be having symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. These symptoms can include flashbacks, nightmares, avoidance of things that remind a person of the trauma and overall numbness. I suggest that you have an evaluation by a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist who have worked with clients who have had trauma.

my 14 y/o daughter who have anxiety says that last night her body was shaking out of nowhere, and said that every morning she feels that way. but last night it stopped when she changed positions. is this her anxiety or something else?

: It is difficult to sort this out without a full history, exam and testing. There is a relatively benign seizure disorder that can appear in kids that age (they usually grow out of it). If present it is likely causing her to freak out. I would have her evaluated.
