: Is what accurate? A pregnancy test? HPT's are accurate a week or so after a missed period. If you've missed your period, take the test a week after it was due and you'll have your answer. Has nothing to do with the date of the encounter.

However, proper use means proper fit and application before any intercourse.Failure to "cover up" prior to insertion exposes you to sperm as if no protection were used.Urine pregnancy tests are readily available over the counter &amp; can be positive as soon as you miss a few days

Low risk: You are concerned about HIV, but there are other STDs and some are not avoided by condom. It would be good idea to see your doctor and have an evaluation. If HIV is the only concern, get tested in 12-16 weeks by a HIV nucleic acid test.

Maybe not...: If there are no other symptoms besides some blood on the condom, I wouldn't necessarily get checked.  Intercourse is sometimes mildly traumatic to the delicate tissues of a women and this can cause a little bleeding even when everything is fine.
