Must be diagnosed: Clinical examination can only tell you about gingivitis (gum inflammation) but not periodontitis (loss of periodontal attachment apparatus, i.e. The bone, the cementum, and the periodontal ligament).  You must have radiographs, periodontal probing and follow up or previous exam data to confirm periodonttis.  Schedule a check up with your dentist.  Light pink gum and not swolle is normal.
