It gets Worse.: The answer to that question begins with knowing the location of the heel pain. Is it on the bottom, back or sides. Most commonly, it is on the bottom and the problem is usually plantar fasciitis.

Neuropathic pain: Heel pain is not usually a sign of recurrent DVT (although it can be if the swelling is bad enough).  Nerve pain, fasciitis, heel fracture, foreign body (eg a splinter) are the likely culprits.  See your doc and get it checked.

Get treatment: If it has not resolved within a few days, go see your primary care physician. Most likely pain meds, activity modification and some therapy will get rid of this. If not, you should get an MRI and see a spine specialist.

has severe pain on left thigh bone, while walking, plus pain in the right foot-top bone.are these things due to remicade (infliximab) side effects (taken for uc)?

Not likely!: Uc is associated with an arthritis that can cause what you are experiencing.  It is called enteropathic arthritis, and is a type of spondyloarthopathy. The Remicade (infliximab) should help clearv this up.  Hip arthritis can causes your problem. A routine hip x-ray is warranted.  If your doc has no problem with this, Naproxen or Ibuprofen should help.

i have severe pain in my right inner thigh (groin) and right foot (inside of foot, between heel and ankle) when i jog. rested 3 weeks, still same. i had fusion in l4 and l5 in 2004 and have scoliosis.  i do not want to stop jogging or live on meds.

See a foot doctor: I do not know what is meant by a "knot" on your foot. I am sure once a foot doc looks at what you call a knot they will know what it is instantaneously. Severe pain is never fun.

Have it evaluated!: There are a myriad of causes for severe pain in your left foot.  My best advice to you is to have this checked out by a foot specialist, i.e. A podiatrist.  Some things that a thorough evaluation may involve are foot x-rays, diagnostic ultrasound, gait evaluation, blood tests, MRI or ct scan.  Don't wait to see a specialist especially with severe pain!
