Worrisome numbness: you may need to have the device removed. At the very least you should notify the doctor that placed the device. If your symptoms persist or worsen such as chest pain or shortness of breath, you should go to an emergency room for a complete evaluation.

Yes: It is not uncommon to fracture a rib while coughing. As you were told you have the flu it would be advisable to get X-ray to look for rib fracture and the possibility of pneumonia . Perhaps tamiflu (oseltamivir) would help as well.

i just got over flu symptoms i had for week. i now have achy rib pain on top left side that hurts to touch.my friend has same pain same too now.virus?

One possibility: It wouldn't be fair to try and diagnose you with such little information. However, considering your history above, consider (among other things) musculoskeletal pain (from "coughing attacks"), viral or bacterial pneumonia and pleuritis. Given your symptoms, it would probably be worth a visit to the doctor. I hope this helps.

Muscle pull?: The most common cause of this in this circumstance would be a pulled muscle in you chest wall.  There are other things that could happen that are more serious but rare. If you are having severe pain, fever, shortness of breath, or other persisting symptoms I would recommend to see a doctor.

Sounds complex: First - call your her is surgeon, and go in for a visit. If you want another opinion, check the americas hernia society website to find a surgeon interested in hernias. Too much for this forum like this to come up with a diagnosis. Hope this helps!

How are they unusual: Bleeding patterns with the menstrual cycle say a lot about what may be wrong in terms of hormones or fibroids or other issues that could be going on.  Flu like symptoms aren't typically associated with one's uterus, however before a menstrual cycle women can get body aches and bloating due to elevated hormone levels.  If you are having absence of menses or bleeding more than once a month,  see md.

Idiosyncratic Rx: Neomycin, Egg Allergy 
Most reactions of Fever, swelling at the injection site, Hives , Shortness of breath and wheezing!
 Worsening pain is idiosyncratic! Rare and only occurs to certain individuals!

31 wks preg. flu for 5days now  no improvement.  now  sudden pain on left side of my back just under rib hurts to cough ect . no fever w/severe chills?

Call your Dr(s): You really need to contact your OBGYN to be sure whatever you do for the flu is safe and you need treatment for the flu - if that's what it is. 5 days of such distress and pain is not good for you and probably not for the baby either. Get treated ASAP. Best wishes.
