Many reasons: I would worry about familial polyposis or lynch syndrome.
You should have a repeat colonoscopy in a year. Someone should evaluate your family history and see if you might be a candidate for genetic testing.

Fundic gland polyps: these types of polyps in the fundus of the stomach are of no real concern. They do not increase the chances of cancer. They are not a reason to stop your Prilosec, if you need it. Your endoscopist will be able to follow up with you concerning them. Good luck.

Just polyps: Sessile means fixed, with no stalk or directly attached to the mucosa. I am sure the gastroenterologist who performed the test took few biopsies,  the results of which will answer your question.

Yes: Current concept  even though all  adenomas are benign  if left alone  may transform to malignancy over the time ,  so they are pre-cancerous , must be removed and need colonoscopy surveillance  more frequently than normal population , just don't worry see your doctor on regular basis and under go procedure if advised.

in general, can a neuroendocrine tumor as a sessile polyp be precancerous or is most always cancerous? a few days ago i'm told that it needs removal since it could become cancer and later metastisize. experienced doctor relocating next week.(??
