Folliculitis: Herpetic lesions, usually, present very differently (ulcerated, raw areas that are quite painful; even to touch), especially if we're talking about a primary outbreak.

See doc- : Really need history and exam, may be herpes, syphillis, or (less likely based on description) hpv.  Could be not std related but these should be ruled out in you and any sexual partners.

can a wart grow pubic hair through it? i have a single skin colored smooth bump on my vulva with 2 hairs growing from it for a year now. it doesn't hurt or grow in size. my gyno said it was folliculitis but idk since it has lasted a long time by now?

Follicullitis: Not normal but could be Follicullitis. This happens where there is hair because the condition is infection of hair follicle.

You: should probably see your gynecologist you might need to have a draining procedure done if the infection gets worse it could spread and you might have a major problem in your pelvis so seek medical care in an evaluation

i went to the emergency room for a lump on my majora labia. it turned out to be a superficial folliculitis. the doctor gave me keflex to get rid of it. now today i have two painful cysts on the side of my clitoris. why is this happening to me?

?Shaving: If you shave your pubic hair this may cause abrasions or small cuts on the skin and may lead to infections in the hair follicles (folliculitis). Refrain from shaving or use a scissors and clip. Also, wear cotton underwear and avoid perfume scented soaps and other products in the genital area.

: Although this could be a folliculitis, esp if there is hair in the particular area, it also might be an hsv infection. see your dermatologist or gyn for eval and possible treatment.

Needs to be seen : Lumps, bumps and blisters on the genitals need to be seen to be evaluated. There are so many possibilities without examining the area we can not offer much help. Augment or reduce?: In many instances this can be associated with loss of volume whereas in other instances it may be associated with skin laxity. The options are to peform with a labia majora augmentstion where you can restore volume with fat grafting or fillers whereas the latter may benefit from resection of redundant skin with a labia majora reduction.

does a biopsy of the labia majora hurt? how long until results?

Biopsies : Usually before a biopsy your doctor may use a topical or local anesthesia to numb the area. You will probably have slight discomfort, but no severe pain. Pathology results can sometimes take up to a few weeks to come back depending on where they are processed. Good luck!
