Pterygium: The bulge on your sclera is probably a benign growth called a pterygium. If it is symptomatic, it can be removed by an ophthalmologist. Make an appointment with an ophthalmologist to examine the yellowish brown discoloration around your iris.

two yrs ago i started to develop a cloudy blue film on my eye also two bumps. anyclue about blue stuff?mydr guessed inflammation from eye prob.trauma but not much else explaining, why would i have ulcers and cloudy film on an eye i don't see from at all?

Band keratopathy: This sounds like a deposit of fibrous and elastic tissue interwoven with calcium which can develop as a band across the middle of the cornea generally in eyes that have an inflammatory history and frequently in eyes with no vision.  If this gets unsightly,or  uncomfortable it can be removed by your ophthalmologist but will have a tendency to recur.

my eyes are watery. i see some oily substances on my iris (inside tear film) and they move up when i blink. sometime it was uncomfortable and i needed to wash my eyes to clear it up but it come back shortly. is this viral conjunctivitis?

: Usually with any type of conjunctivitis, including viral, allergic or bacterial, the eye would also be red. The only way to know what is wrong is for a doctor to look at it. Film: A film over your eyes is likely due to irritation of the eye's surface which can be due to numerous issues.  The most common cause of this is dry eye.  I would recommend trying over-the-counter artificial tears and if it does not resolve, you should see an eye doctor for further evaluation and treatment.

Most likely dry eyes: Blue line indicates thinning of sclera and associated dry eyes may be related to rheumatoid artheritis.Go see an ophthalmologist

Decreased blood flow: Fainting often can be the result of decreased blood flow to the brain.  As the carotid arteries enter the skull, the first branches from them are actually to the eyes.  Decreased blood flow to the eyes can result in a "greying out" of the vision.  It occurs because the retinal and optic nerve tissues are not getting enough oxygen.

Blocked tear ducts?: I suspect that this is mainly a cosmetic issue which usually does not require treatment.  However you may also have a blocked tear duct which drains into the nose .

Need photo: If this is on the inside corner of the eye this is either a pinguecula  or a pterygium. Both occur form uv light exposure and chronic inflammation. Get good sun glasses to prevent worsening.  If inflamed some eye drops may help. Rarely do this require surgical removal.

is it okay to watch a film in 3d if you have an eye infection?

Accepted Answer

Yes: Watching a 3d movie will not adversely affect the healing process for an eye infection.  Though if your eye is irritated and your vision is not perfect in the infected eye, you may get dizzy from the imperfect 3d image.
