why can i see my pulse beating in my neck?

Accepted Answer

May reasons: Is this a new thing? Do you have symptoms of anything else? You might see this if you are skinny or have prominent vessels in general. You can this with heart failure or volume overload or other cardiac conditions. Hard to say why without more information.

when i'm nervous, my heart beats quicker and i can see my pulse in my vision. is this normal?

Maybe: For some people, this is normal. However, i would probably recommend going to your regular doctor at least once and having him/her check your heart and pulses for any abnormalities.

why do i get palpitations and feel my pulse stronger when getting up from a sitting position, i can even see my pulse in the hollow part of my neck.

Change in position: causes drop in resistance of your arteries. The heart has to speed up and pump harder to maintain blood pressure. You sense this as palpitation. Also causes some arteries to be more visible.

i can feel an see my pulse in my right wrist i have anxiety is this normal i've never felt this before an i am worried?

It's not concerning: When you are anxious, or even during normal times, it can be perfectly fine to see your vessels pulsating in various areas of your body. The next, the inner elbow and the wrist are common areas.
Some will even feel their pulse in their throat or sides of the head. 
These symptoms alone are not a cause for concern.

i can sometimes notice my heart beat in my vision, its like i can see my pulse. i've never had this before and it doesnt hurt, is this normal?

Hypertension ?: Go get your blood pressure checked and get a good physical exam to find out what may be the problem. Your symptoms could be related to hyperthyroidism or cardiovascular disease, but you won't get any answers unless you go see a doctor or nurse practitioner to get started

why do i see stars in my vision 24/7? they're mostly visible when looking at a bright, blank surface or the sky? but they're always there - including floaters. i can now see my pulse in my vision. stars and floaters for two months straight?

Pulse in eye: I have doubt  that you are seeing an artery pulsating BUT you should be seen by  an eye doctor who has the tools to look into your eye and figure out what you are seeing.

Likely not. : Please go see your primary care provider. An aneurysm needs to be ruled out, as well as having a discussion about weight loss and tobacco cessation.

i got a holter test done came back that my heart was adding beats and i feel my heart beating on my back when laying down and i can see my pulse on top of my wrist is this dangerous?

Depends on rhythms : It all depends on what the Holter says. Did your symptoms (back heart beat and wrist pulse) correlate with an abnormal rhythm on the Holter?  (Hopefully you kept a symptom.diary when wearing the Holter) If the underlying rhythm I'd dangerous  (VTACH or other) then a Cardiologist consult is needed. If the underlying rhythm is aberrant it could still be benign (atrial tach or atrial flutter). TTYD.

i was sitting here not doing anything and i happened to look at my right hand and i could see my pulse under my thumb on that part of my hand. is that normal? or something to be worried about. ive never noticed it before and its not doing it now.

Pulse thumb: It is common to see the artery that runs across the dorsal area of the thumb in what is called the snuff box. But not aware of how one could see it on the palmer surface of the hand. Show to Dr and send us video.
