Secondary amenorrhea: That depends entirely on what its secondary too.  Severe wt loss with anorexia nervosa can be fatal. Estrogen levels, other physical illness etc. You need a diagnosis of the PRIMARY problem.

PCOS: Most experts (not all) agree that pcos is diagnosed based on 1) irregular/skipped periods, 2) ultrasound appearance, 3) elevated blood androgen levels. The reason it's called a syndrome is because not all patients have exactly the same symptoms. Hair is not a diagnostic criterion for PCOS, nor are liver function tests.

The other common causes for secondary amenorrhea are exercising a lot,especially running,and eating disorders. Thyroid disease and other chronic diseases can also cause this.Were you on Birth Control pills at all? I would recommend that you see your doctor to check all of this.
